About Jailbraking

Jailbreaking lets you have full control over your device. This can be dangerous if you don’t know what your doing. The first thing you will notice after Jailbreaking is an app called Cydia, this lets you instal Packages and Apps that Apple does not.

The how

  1. Backup your iPhone. Don’t just sync it, right click on your iPhone in the sidebar within iTunes and click Backup.
  2. Download the latest version of GreenPois0n from greenpois0n.com and run it. (this is the tool that will jailbreak your iPhone
  3. follow the onscreen instructions (its quite straight forward) and wait for your iPhone to reboot.
  4. find an app called Loader and open it – then install Cydia.
  5. your done.

What to do first

It depends which way you want to go, if your going for a complete overhaul with themes and icons, there are many videos on YouTube that can help. If you just want to tweak your iPhone to your personal preferences you will have to find out what you want to do and Google it. Generally its just a case of loading Cydia, searching for the package, instal it and reload.
